Prof. Dr. Usha Gupta is a nationally renowned dermatologist with over 25 years of clinical experience. She holds seven medical qualifications and has served in national leadership positions across India's most prestigious dermatological bodies.
A Remarkable Journey
Prof. Dr. Usha Gupta originally trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pathology. At the request of her husband, Prof. Dr. D.K. Gupta, she retrained entirely in Dermatology to help establish the MD program at NSCB Medical College — a sacrifice described as one 'which only Gupta couple could have done' for the advancement of dermatological training in Central India.
Delivered the prestigious Rajam Oration at Chennai (2012) and received the B.C. Roy Oration Award (2004) — among the highest honors in Indian medicine.
Academic Contributions
15 publications, 21 paper presentations, 6 poster presentations, and 40+ conferences attended. Author of the chapter on urticaria in the IADVL textbook for undergraduates.
