Oral immunosuppressant used as a steroid-sparing agent in autoimmune dermatoses such as pemphigus, severe eczema, and recalcitrant lichen planus.
Usage Instructions
Dose individualised by weight and TPMT status; typically 1–3 mg/kg/day. Requires baseline and periodic blood monitoring.
Precautions
Prescription only. Requires regular CBC and liver function monitoring. Avoid in pregnancy and during live vaccinations.
